The Black Stars have had their first training session in South Africa after arriving in Johannesburg, Sunday morning ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.
A 23-man squad selected by coach Kwesi Appiah trained in the afternoon at the University of Johannesburg a day after a delegation led by the Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi left Accra for the five-day training camp.
Ghana play Zambia in Ndola on Saturday in Group D after thrashing Lesotho 7-0 last Friday in the opening group match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Black Stars are top of their qualifying group after Sudan defeated Zambia 2-0 in the group's other game of the weekend which leaves the Black Stars on top of the group on goal difference.
The Black Stars are chasing their third successive appearance at the World Cup after appearing in the global tournament in 2006 and 2010 in Germany and South Africa respectively.
