Ghanaian international, Caleb Ekuban has returned to Turkish giant, Trabzonspor to join his teammates for pre-season for the upcoming season following an extended break after representing his national team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
At a tournament the West African Country had high hopes of winning, it was the striker’s penalty miss that saw them being eliminated from the at the round of 16 by Tunisia.
He was given extra time to rest following the campaign but has now joined his teammates as they look to wrap up the pre-season training with the imminent start of the 2019/2020 season.
The club announced his return to the club together with former Nigeria captain Obi Mikel after they both passed their mandatory medical checks.
“Caleb Ekuban and our new transfer Obi Mikel, who are in the national teams of their countries due to the Africa Cup, passed the health check”.
“The players who completed their health checks continued their work at Mehmet Ali Y?lmaz Facilities within the special training program applied to them”, the club posted in a Tweet.
Caleb Ekuban, 25, had a fantastic season on loan at Trabzonspor from Leeds United last season and will be hoping to better his stats this campaign now that he has been secured permanently.
