Black Stars forward Raphael Dwamena has hailed Kumasi fans for turning out in the team’s warm-up friendly win against second-tier side Asokwa Deportivo on Wednesday.
Though it was just a friendly but the Kumasi fans thronged the stadium in their numbers to support the team beat the Division One side 6-1.
“I’m really grateful for the fans because it is amazing over here, i didn’t imagine they could come over here,” Dwamena said after the friendly win.
“You can see a lot of crowd over here and we just hope that the same crowd will come on Sunday for the Black Stars so that we can win against Ethiopia because we are really focus on the game and we just want to win.”
Ethiopia game will be the Black Stars’ first competitive game in Kumasi since 2015.
