The Technical team of the Black Stars, led by Coach Kwesi Appiah have donated assorted food items to the Teshie Children’s Home on Wednesday in Accra.

The items including cartons of milk and bags of rice, worth GHc10,000.00.

The move was to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged and seek the blessings of God, as Ghana prepare for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), to be staged in Egypt next month.

Ibrahim Tanko, assistant coach of the Black Stars, after the donation mentioned that, “we all know that we are going to the AFCON and we need the blessings of the nation. So, this morning, we decided to come to the Teshie Children’s Home to see our children who are without parents.

“And I think doing this, we ask God to bless us going to the AFCON to make an impact. We have been doing this and we won’t stop now. We will do another presentation to our Muslim brothers before AFCON, because we need the nation’s support so we would include everyone.”

Receiving the items, the Proprietor of the Home, Mrs. Janet Parker, together with the children were elated by the kindness and wished the Black Stars well for AFCON.

Ghana is housed in Group F with Cameroon, Guinea Bissau and Benin and will be chasing her fifth title after 37 years.
