Black Stars coach, Avram Grant has tagged Ghana’s international friendly with Togo as a “preparatory game,” as his team prepares to take on Mauritius in the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON 2017) qualifiers in Accra on Saturday.

Albert Adomah gets a recall to the Blacks Stars team that will be playing against the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It will be Adomah’s first chance under current coach Avram Grant; after his last appearance was offered to him by ex-Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah. The match would help prepare the respective teams for their AFCON qualifiers at the weekend.

According to a Ghana Football Association (GFA) official, there will be a minute silence in memory of the people who lost their lives in the flood and fire a week ago. The Black Stars will also wear a black armband.

Ghana will be playing Mauritius on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium whiles Togo will also play Liberia in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

In a related news, Togo and Tottenham Hotspurs striker, Emmanuel Adebayor has been sidelined from the team by coach Tom Saintfeit together with Kossi Agassa and Floyd Ayite for non-attendance of training sessions. All three players could be recalled for the Liberia fixture.

The Black Stars only injury concern is with Kwesi Appiah who is suffering from a cruciate ligament injury and has been ruled out of the game. He is also ruled out of the match against Mauritius in five days time.
