ANGERED by her 0-2 loss to the Super Eagles in Saturday’s World Cup 2002 qualifier, Sierra Leone national team, the Leone Stars, say her next foes, the Black Stars of Ghana will bear the brunt.

"If you look at our team closely, you will agree that we lost the match, not because the Eagles were better, but because they were fitter," Sessy Rahman, Leone Stars rasta-haired midfielder said.

The A.S. Kaloum stars of Guinea Star, who says he’s eyeing Europe in the coming season says the match against Ghana next month in Freetown is the big break that should take the Stars to higher ground in the qualifiers.

Rahman said the hiring of a new foreign coach and the players’ determination to prove a point in the World Cup qualifier warned that Ghana should be prepared for a beating in Freetown.

Ask any player of the Black Stars, and he will tell you that the country had never find us easy during crucial matches," he said.

Team skipper Kanu Ahmed, who spoke in the same vein said Nigeria did not present a fantastic team against his mates, but merely won because of experience.

He said when the stars decided to come out in the second half, to attack, Nigeria could not match them and were only lucky to have ran away with victory in the match.
