Black Stars forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom is hoping to put smiles on the faces of Red Star Belgrade fans when they travel to Greece to play Olympiacos in the last Champions League group stage match tomorrow.

Red Star Belgrade failed to qualify to the knockout stages of the competition as they suffered heavy defeats against former Champions Bayern Munich and last year finalist Tottenham Hotspur at both home and abroad.

But Boakye Yiadom believes the best Christmas gift to give their fans will be an assured performance and a win against Olympiakos in Greece.

" I pray to God to give me a goal for our fan who have been amazing throughout the competition. We know we're out but it still a game and it will give us a sense of pride to finish third behind two of the best teams in Europe"

Red Star Belgrade have a poor reputation on the road as they've failed to record a win in the Champions league from last season. But a win against Olympiakos could help change the narrative and provide a strong foundation their Europa League campaign.

"We need to improve on our performances away from home. And It's not going to be an easy game but have played them earlier at home we have a good idea about their strengths and weaknesses"

Olympiacos have shown the tendency to collapse in the second half of games as they've conceded six goals against Tottenham and Red Star Belgrade in the second period.

"We know they will come hard at us in the first half as we saw in Serbian and their game against Tottenham Hotspur. So we need to play it a bit tight at the back and prevent costly mistakes. But the second period is always a different story. I'm very confident of a victory. That will be a perfect Christmas gift to our fans.

The Serbia outfit are third in Group with three points behind Bayern Munich and Tottenham, while Olympiacos remain bottom with just a point.
