Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was sent off Saturday evening as Atalanta were defeated 2-1 by AS Roma at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia in Bergamo.
The on-loan Juventus striker was introduced into the game in the 75th for Alejandro Daro Gomes and received his first booking in the 94th minute for a foul on De Sanctis.
Boakye-Yiadom was given his sending off orders a minute later by Referee Davide Massa for protesting against his first yellow card.
Atalanta took the lead as early as the second minute through Maxi Morales but Serbia forward Adem Ljajic scored a goal and set up another for Radja Naingollan as Roma came from behind to win the game.
