Accra, Dec. 28, GNA - Black Stars midfielder, Derek Boateng, has organized an end of year party for the kids of the Osu Children's Home, i= n Accra, as part of his social responsibility.
The party held on Christmas day and attended by hundreds of kids, was Boateng's widow's mite for the festive season.
The Spanish-based midfielder also presented 50 school uniforms to the orphanage and a cash donation, to help the upkeep of the children. He also promised to support the home in future by providing some neede= d facilities, amongst others.
The Manageress of the home, Sharon Abbey, thanked Boateng for the kind gesture and appealed to others to emulate him. Comfort Addo, one of the inmates, appealed to the midfielder to suppor= t the deteriorating Nursery block of the home. Boateng has been a regular donor to the Osu Children's Home since 20= 06.
