Black Stars forward Emmanuel Boateng, has moved to Chinese club, Dalian Yifang on a four-year deal.

The move, is to grant his more playing time ahead of the 2019 Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournament slated for Egypt.

Boateng, who joined the Spanish club in the summer of 2017 from Portuguese club Moreirense told GNA Sports that, he was set for a new challenge and was ready for the task ahead.

Boateng disputed assertions that, the Chinese league was of low quality, adding that more money was being invested in getting quality players to ply their trade there.

“Moving to China was not a move motivated by money, but a bid to get more playing time and stay fit for selection with 2019 African Cup of Nations approaching.

The “Oluwa Dey” hitmaker had a bit of frustrating times with injuries, which kept him off the pitch for some time in Spain.

The 22-year-old Levante UD striker, made 50 first team appearances for “The Frogs” between LaLiga and the Copa Del Rey, scoring eight goals in all.

The attacker, who made his international debut for the Black Stars against Japan in May last year, has had three appearances, scoring one goal in the process.
