Sunyani (B/A), Jan. 30, GNA - Relegated Premier League side, Bofoakwa Tano had to sweat to their limits before they were able to sudue Dormaa Nkyenkyenkye 1-0 in the first match of the national 'Zone 1B" First Division football League match played at the Sunyani Coronation Park at the weekend.
Michael Owusu won the day for Bofoakwa with a classic 17th minute goal.
Contrary to the expectations of most supporters of Bofoakwa of a massive win, the supporters left the Park with mixed feelings, complaining bitterly about the abysmal show of the players.
At Goaso, Goaso Unity F.C. narrowly won 3-2 over Universal Stars after a 1-1 first half, while Berekum Berlin F/C beat Yagbon Stars 2-0 at the Berekum Golden Park with B.A. Stars also pipping local rivals, B.A. United 1-0 at the Nsoatre Presbyterian Park.
