Following their painful 1-0 defeat by Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the supporters of Bofoakwa Tano have announced the dissolution of the club's management with immediately effect.

This was contained in a statement signed by 14 executive members of the club's supporters union, including Messrs Yaw Frimpong Appiah Quayson, Salia, Ali Mohammed, Berma Ali and Prince Alhaji Mankind, patron, secretary, chief supporter, organising secretary and second vice chief supporter, respectively and issued to the press but Tuesday.

According to the statement, the supporters' action was necessitated by the unprofessional manner in which the club is being run

It asked the dissolved management which includes Teacher Tommy, the acting chief executive, Mr. Takyi Arhin, secretary, Mr Bright Obeng, coach and Mr. Owusu, operations director, to hand over the team?s property in their possession to Dr. Kofi Asare, the chairman of the board of directors of the club. The statement, however, urged the following management members to remain at post. They are: Teacher Musah, team manager, Mr. Eugene Amankona, P.R.O. and Mr. Sarpong, old goalkeeper.

It directed that the technical aspect of the club be handled by the following people: Mr. Anowhere (former player), Mr Thomas Cudjoe alias Kwadwo Grushie, and Mr. Opoku Sampane (former player).

The statement asked the playing body to cooperate with the new officers of the club and report for training at the usual times.

It, however, advised the general public not to transact any business with the dissolved management. Reacting to the statement in an interview Dr Kofi Asare, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Boafoakwa, described the action of the supporter as hasty and uncalled for.

He said it is not the supporters who appointed the management of the club, and for that matter, they cannot unilaterally dismiss them.

Dr Asare, however, called for a meeting of the management the board, supporters and the playing body to thrash out the issues raised, to ensure that Bofoakwa grows from strength to strength.
