Bolga All Stars secured their ticket to play in the Ghana Premier League next season after beating Tamale Utrecht by two goals to nil at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Sunday October 9 in the Division One League.
They made history by becoming the first ever team from the Upper East Region to qualify to play in the Ghanaian top flight.
Goals from club top scorer Noah Nii Quaye and Tanko Hamid were enough for the Bolgatanga-based side to secure promotion.
“I am short of words because this is the first time a team is coming from the Upper East Region of Ghana to qualify for the premier division and we are so happy about it. We have finished this one so we are going to sit down and plan very well because we know where we are going is not going to be easy,” Osman Musah, coach of the side, told Class Sports.
