The communications director of newly-promoted premiership side Bolga All Stars Jose Nelson Abagna has said the team spent over Gh¢ 200,000 before securing qualification to the Ghana Premier League.
Bolga All Stars on Sunday secured their ticket to play in the elite division next season after beating Tamale Utrecht 2-0 at the Tamale Sports Stadium. They will now join Elmina Sharks and Great Olympics in the top-flight game.
They became the first ever team from the Upper East region to play in the apex game of Ghana football.
“Playing in division one is very difficult nobody will want to be in division one football.
“If we are to make available details of how much we spent on the team this season before we secured qualification to the premiership, salaries, and administrative cost, the last time we did
an audit of our account, we had spent over Gh¢200,000,” Abagna told Starr Sports.
