Bolga Ghatel Ladies coach eyes Top 2 finish in Women’s League

Head Coach of Bolgatanga Ghatel Ladies, Abdul Amin Sofo, says the team is targeting a finish in the top two to enable them take part in the top four at the end of the national women’s zonal league.

The team have so far lost three of the six matches played whilst drawing one and winning two to amass seven points from a possible of 18. The tough talking coach in an interview with Gbc Ura Radio Sports in Bolgatanga however announced that the team is working very hard to achieve their ambition of a top two finish and that he is rest assured of achieving that feat at the end of the league.

“The league so far is not easy and I’m not happy with our performances so far but I’m confident that with the addition of seven new players to beef up our team, for sure we will chain out good results in the remaining matches of the league. I would also call on supporters of the club to have confidence in us and always turn up for our matches at the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium,” he said.

Coach Sofo also confesses that even though the club is faced with financial difficulties, they are coping with the financial demands of the game but nevertheless appeals to corporate bodies to come to the aid of the team.

“It’s not been easy handling the team. We face a lot of financial problems and I will just use your medium to call on lovers of women football most specially corporate bodies to support us in whichever way they can so that it will help ease our financial burdens even though we are managing the situation,” Coach Sofo explained.

Bolga Ghatel Ladies are currently occupying the 4th position with 7 points of the zonal national women’s league, 5 points adrift of table toppers, Fabulous Ladies and will trek to Tamale to play Lipo Ladies in the Match Day 7 fixtures this weekend.
