According to Capt. (rtd) Cudjoe, although he doesn't even know the whereabouts of Bortey, he's heard that the striker is in Kumasi.
He confirmed that Bortey had informed the management of Ghapoha F.C. over his intensions of joining Asante Kotoko for the coming season and also confirmed that Asante Kotoko officials have spoken to him on two occasions on the issue. He added that Hearts of Oak is still interested in the Striker and that both clubs have laid before Ghapoha F.C. interesting terms for the services of Bortey.
Meanwhile, Capt. (rtd) Cudjoe has threatened legal action against an Accra based newspaper for publishing a story in relation to Bernard Dong Bortey claiming that Capt. (rtd) Cudjoe had quoted a $44,117, an equivalent of 300 million cedis for Bortey.
Capt.
