Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe, Ghana's silver medalist at the just ended All Africa Games (AAG), has called on corporate bodies to support para-athletes to participate in more international competitions to win laurels for the nation.

Speaking to the GNA Sports, Nkegbe said, para-athletes have proven over the years, that they have what it takes to put Ghana on the international map during international competitions, but can only succeed through adequate financial support.

"We have been winning medals for Ghana since we started participating in the AAG in Algiers in 2003 and in the just ended competition we added three medals to Team Ghana.

"I strongly believe we have what it takes to improve upon our performance in subsequent competitions, if we are given the needed support". He told the GNA Sports in an interview.

According to Botsyo, he was looking forward to participate in the 2015 International Paralympic Games (IPC) World Athletics Championship, in Doha, Qatar in order to build his points ahead of the next Paralympic Games.

Nkegbe said, he was keen on booking another qualification to the Paralympic Games after appearing in Beijing, Athens and London for Ghana.

Nkegbe, said he wants to make history by attending his fourth Paralympic Games which he noted will be unprecedented adding that he has enough strength to make the desired impact.
