Boxers ready to rumble on Azumah Nelson Fight Night

Felix Ajom and Abraham Osei Bonsu were involved in a heated weigh-in on Friday at the Bukom Boxing Arena ahead of their blockbuster battle on Saturday night.

The two boxers since the fight was arranged has been throwing barbs at each other, and they can’t wait for the fight day.

Ajom – Bonsu will battle each other for the vacant national super featherweight belt.

At the weigh-in, Ajom was first to weigh and he tipped the scales at 129Ibs, while Bonsu came in at 127Ibs.

When the boxers were asked to face each other for the official face-off they nearly traded punches but due to the intervention of the Ghana Boxing Authority board member Alhaji Tophic calm was restored.

For the other weigh-ins, Kpakpo Allotey weighed 137Ibs, while Robert Quaye tipped the scales at 135Ibs. Allotey will be defending his super lightweight belt against Quaye.

Wahab Oluwasuen weighed 129 Ibs, while Bright Ayala tipped the scales at 128Ibs. At stake is the vacant WBA Pan-African super featherweight belt.

Emmanuel Martey will be defending his super middleweight strap against Emmanuel Anim. On the scales, Martey weighed 167Ibs as against Anim’s 168Ibs.

For the super bantamweight contest, Ghana’s Wahab Wasiru weighed 124Ibs while Nobime Firmin from Benin weighed 119Ibs.

The upcoming card is being promoted by HeMann Promotions in conjunction with Azumah Nelson Boxing. The card has been dubbed as ‘Azumah Nelson Fight Night 5.’
