West Bromwich Albion forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has earned his debut call-up to the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
The forward displayed remarkable form for his Championship club this season, netting 12 goals and providing 2 assists across various competitions as West Brom narrowly missed out on Premier League promotion.
His stellar performances have finally caught the attention of the Black Stars coaches, securing him a spot in the national team.
Coach Otto Addo announced the Black squad for the games against Mali and the Central African Republic on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
The Black Stars are scheduled to face Mali in Bamako on June 6, followed by a match against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10.
