Ghanaweb.com can confirm that Accra Hearts of Oak have officially terminated the contract of head coach Frank Nuttall with immediate effect.
The termination of Frank Nuttall’s contract, which was contained in a press release copied to Ghanaweb.com comes days after the Scottish trainer was suspended for breaching many of the club’s code of conduct.
The Committee which was established to look into the merit or otherwise of his suspension, have in unison concluded that there is no future for Nuttall at the club, for which reason his contract has been terminated.
“The Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, has with immediate effect, terminated Coach Frank Elliot Nuttal’s contract for behaviours which were in direct conflict with the interest of the club”, part of the press release read.
According to the committee that was investigating Frank Nuttall “he admitted to his involvement in aiding and introducing players of the club to agents and vice versa without the knowledge of the management of the club”.
Nuttall who was held in high regard until the recent incidents is said to have influenced players to leave the club, with the promise that he could secure them lucrative deals outside the shores of Ghana. He also signed these players, mostly those whose contracts were almost up to his agency (NM Agency) where he benefited from the sale of players such as Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey, Atinga and Winful Cobinna.
Nuttall signed a two-year deal to become manager of Hearts of Oak last year. In his debut season, he finished in the top four and guided the Phobians to their first FA Cup final in over a decade but they missed out the trophy to Asante Kotoko.
