Embattled Hearts of Oak forward Bright Lukman has hinted that he is itching to say goodbye to the Phobians after he spent the entire season without enough playing time.

Despite firing in 30 goals with Ebusua Dwarfs two seasons ago in the GN Bank Division One League, the swift forward has struggled to get himself into the favoured books of coach Frank Nuttal and that is pushing the forward out.

Speaking to FOX 97.9 FM, Lukman announced he is not a happy man at Hearts of Oak since he has just been warming the bench.

“I have not heard anything about that”, Lukman said when asked whether he is aware he is on the list of players set to be released by the club.

“The club told the team to wait for a call from them after the final match of the season, but if I hear am being released I would rather be happy because I personally want to leave the club, even my attitude towards training and other activities is a clear indication that I want to leave, my attitude tells you am not a happy man there”, declared Lukman.

The embattled striker is even ready to accept an offer from a third tier side just to leave the Phobians - a demonstration that he's fed up with life in the rainbow colours.

“I feel it is better for me to play in the second division and get regular playing time than stay with Hearts of Oak in the premiership without playing and just get paid.

"Football is my career and it’s paramount to be active so I will even be happy if the club release me”, Lukman told Kumasi based FOX FM.

The former Dwarfs forward will however not tender in a transfer request but will wait until the club releases him.

“I have not spoken with anybody in the club concerning my future but am waiting for them to make known to me my status within the club”, he added.

Lukman failed to make just 10 appearances in all competitions for the Phobians and believes life outside the Oak Family can earn him his heart's desire.
