Romania based striker, Sadat Bukari is out of tonight's UEFA Europa League match day 3 fixture between his Astra Giurgiu and compatriot Mubarak Wakaso's Celtic in Glasgow.
Bukari whose goals helped power Astra into their maiden European group stage competition, has been ruled out of action for two weeks due to a groin injury and the former Heart of Lions is inconsolable.
His countryman, Seidu Yahaya could feature for Astra but Sadat is sad that he won't get the opportunity to face former junior international teammate, Wakaso who scored for Celtic barely twelve minutes on his debut in this competition at Salzburg.
"It would have been nice to play against my former teammate, Wakaso as well as playing against Celtic. It's a big team that has a great history. Too bad to miss out on such a game," Sadat told Allsports.com.gh exclusively.
"What matters is the success of my team so I am absolutely 100% behind them to go out there and win for us. We need points now," Bukari added.
Vastly inexperienced at this level, Astra remain rooted to the bottom of the group on zero points after losing both of their games so far, away to Dinamo Zagreb and at home to Red Bull Salzburg.
Celtic meanwhile lead the way on four points, same as Salzburg with the Croatian side, Zagreb on the three points garnered in the win over Astra.
