Ahead of Braimah Kamoko’s latest defence of his WBO Africa Light heavyweight belt come Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, opponent Hamza Wandera has been billed as the man to give the unbeaten Ghanaian his biggest test yet.
Sweden based Ugandan Wandera is left-handed and according to Mike Tetteh, CEO of the Golden Mike Boxing Promotions promoters of Kamoko, is a big test for the man nicknamed Bukom Banku. Mr. Tetteh believes it is also a very big chance for the unbeaten Kamoko to silence his critics.
“The opponent is southpaw and it has been widely acclaimed that Braimah Kamoko cannot fight a southpaw. This is a moment of truth for him to prove to Ghanaians that he can fight a southpaw,” Mike Tetteh told Joy Fm.
Golden Mike added, confidently: “Coach Alloway and the team are working very hard with him in training and I know he will be ready to make his critics quiet.
“We are looking to get him to fight (WBO Light heavyweight champion) Nathan Cleverly later in the year so a convincing victory is important.”
