Golden Mike Boxing Promotions would on Saturday May 26, light up the El Wak Stadium with series of attractive bouts for boxing fans.

The event dubbed “Now of Never” would have six bouts with boxers from Uruguay and Paraguay also participating.


Announcing the bouts at a press conference in Accra on Thursday May 24, Mike Tetteh, Chief Executive officer of Golden Mike Promotions, said his outfit was committed to the development of boxers and boxing in the country, hence their determination to organize the event despite challenges.


Tetteh noted that, the night would see Obodai “Miracle” Sai taking on Ishmael “Roy Jones” Tetteh in an eight round Super Welterweight contest, whilst Fredrick Lawson will battle back from retirement Alfred Kotey in an eight round welterweight contest.


According to the promoters, Joshua Okine will fight Rafael Sosa Pinto from Uruguay in a ten round International Super Welterweight contest, whilst Samuel Amoako takes on Ramon Esperanza of Paraguay in another ten round International Lightweight Contest.


Ishmeal Aryeetey and Odalai Lamptey would compete in an eight round Featherweight contest, with Isaac Owusu and Emmanuel Quartey completing the schedules for the night in a National Super Batamweight Championship.

Tetteh indicated that, his outfit will continue to provide Ghanaians with quality bouts as they are not ready to compromise on their track record, which is recognized across the globe.


He said the night would also see hip life artist “Buk Bak” and “Kerche” perform, adding that it is part of the plans by Golden Mike Boxing Promotions to attract boxing fans and music lovers to the venue.


Tetteh said his outfit has made adequate security arrangements at the venue for fans and assured all that their safety will be guaranteed.


The event would attract GH¢10.00 at the Popular Stand and GH¢30.00 at the Ring Side.**
