Head Coach of Dreams Football Club Charles Akonnor says a special emphasis will be placed on limiting the goal scoring opportunities of Hearts of Oak when they visit the Dawu Park on match-day 15 of the Ghana Premier League.
Dreams have conceded 12 goals in their last 6 matches in the league and have struggled to get results picking up 5 points in their last 5 matches.
He revealed that upon post game analysis the technical team has discovered that the frailties in defending stems from a lack of team effort and isn’t down to just the defense line.
“We all know that Hearts is a strong side and they have undergone a transformation under Yatsuhashi especially with regards to their away form,” Akunnor said
“At points our defending has been very embarrassing but we work with humans and we sometimes need to let them know where we have come from and where we are now.”
“We need to let the players understand that there is the need to improve. “The problem has not just come from our typical defenders alone but from the entire team because defending starts with the players upfront.”
“We have a positive approach towards this match and hopefully we can get a favorable result against Hearts,”he told Citi Sports ahead of the game
