C. K. Gyamfi Academy qualifies for First Division

Cape Coast, Feb. 20, GNA - Winneba C. K. Gyamfi Academy spanked Dunkwa-on-Offin Denkyira United 4-0 in the finals of the Central Region Division Two super zonals Middle league, which ended at the Robert Mensah sports stadium on Sunday.

The Academy have by this feat therefore qualified for the First Division.

Gyamfi Academy who showed their determination to gain promotion to the First Division, outplayed their opponents to lead by two goals to nil at half time from goals scored by outside right Nathaniel Baako. Denkyira United matched their opponents' squarely on resumption of the second half and made frantic efforts to equalize but the able defence of C. K. Gyamfi Academy held them in check.

C. K. Gyamfi Academy took control of the match in the 75th minute and banged in two more goals through substitute Ganni Yahaya and Kebena Marfo in the dying minutes to bring the full time score to 4-0. Mr Kojo Anaisie Yarquah, Presiding Member of the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly presented the Cup to C. K. Gyamfi Academy, amidst jubilation by the players and supporters.
