CAF CC: Kotoko player ratings after Kariobangi Sharks draw

Asante Kotoko fought out a goalless draw away at Kariobangi Sharks in the first leg of their Confederation Cup First Round tie.

Footballmadeinghana.com’s Abdul Wadudu rates the performance of the Asante Kotoko players.

Felix Annan (7/10) – Wasn’t tested much in the game. Was Always on on alert.

Amos Frimpong (6/10) – Forced to play out of position because of injury to Abass Mohammed. He was defensively OK. But failed at add anything on the attack.

Augestine Sefa ( 7/10) – Decent game for the former Ashold player. Allow Emmanuel Gyamfi to go forward more. Also did his defensive work very well.

Agyemnag Badu (9/10) – Arguably the man of the match. Dealt with the treat of George Abege. He made sure Abege did not cause any havoc for the team.

Ganiyu Ismael ( 8/10) – What a debut for the former Karela United defender. Showed why he was preferred to Wahab Adams. Kept his cool throughout the game and never allowed the occasion to fright him.

Senanu Richard (7/10) – Offered the needed shield for the centre backs. Was all over the pitch for Kotoko. He is gradually establishing himself as one of the best in his position.

Jordan Opoku(7/10) – Was given the box to box role. Shower a lot of experience and maturity in the game. He controlled the midfield very well.

Emmanuel Gyamfi (8/10) – My second best player in the kotoko team. Was always a threat for the Kenyans. Was unlucky his late chip couldn’t find the back of the net.

Maxwell Baakoh (7/10)- It was a promising debut by the former Wa All Stars winger. Used his pace to torment the Sharks defence. He still needs to work on his final delivery.

Martin Antwi ( 6/10) – Not a good debut for Martin. He failed to steal the show for the Porcupines. He will need to improve on his performance in the second league.

Naby Keita (6/10) – Preferred ahead of Yacouba as the target man but failed to make any huge impact in the game. He was far from his best.

Substitutes.

Songne Yacouba (6/10) – Was introduced to bring extra bite to the Kotoko attack but was off the pace. Showed some glimpses of what to expect when he is fit.

Daniel Nii Adjei (6/10) – Brought on to stabilize the midfield. He added some stability in the midfield for kotoko.
