FC Samartex striker, Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli, has assured fans that the team is working tirelessly to make a significant impact in their first African campaign.
The Ghana Premier League champions are set to face Victoria United FC from Cameroon in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Japoma Stadium.
Ahead of the match, the former Real Tamale United (RTU) striker expressed their determination to make a mark on the continent.
"We are the Ghana League champions, and we’re committed to making our mark in the CAF Champions League," he told Graphic Sports.
"As newcomers, we’ve been putting in a lot of effort to ensure we advance in this competition, starting with a win in the first preliminary round," the striker added.
The return leg will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
