Ivorian side FC San Pedro officials has accused some fans and officials of Asante Kotoko for attacking South African match officials in their first leg encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The match was called-off after several controversies and drama from both set of team officials and several delays from the referee as to the next action to take after the half time break.
Eventually, the game was truncated and was fixed on Monday, October 28 at the same venue. The game was kicked off at exactly 2pm with the Porcupines piping the Ivorians one nil courtesy Naby Keita’s penalty in the dying embers of the game.
The drama could not stop at the dugout after the game with some players and officials of San Pedro threatening Kotoko of revenge in Cote d’ivoire.
Their reasons are that, the South African officials due to the intimidating nature at the Baba Yara Stadium created by the fans and officials of the home team during Sunday’s game resulted in them being cheated on Monday during the continuation of the game.
