CAF begins inspection of facilities ahead of 2018 Africa Women's Championship

The high-powered Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) delegation has arrived in Ghana and started inspection for 2018 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON).

The West African country is hosting Africa's flagship women's tournament next year and the team is in the country it check the venues for the eight-team tournament.

Ghana has pencilled down Accra and Cape Coast as the two venues for the tournament and the delegation has hit the ground running for the inspection.

The delegation started their visit in Cape Coast on Saturday by visiting the Cape Coast Stadium.

On Sunday they inspected the Robert Mensah and Nduom Stadiums as well as the Glowlamp Soccer Academy which will serve as the training venues for the teams.

The delegation will look out for hotel facilities, broadcasting standards at the stadium, medical facilities, the stadium and training pitches as well as transport facilities.

They will end their visit in Accra with the tour of the Accra Sports Stadium.
