CAF to be neutral during FIFA elections

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has sent signals of neutrality ahead of the Federation of International Football Asociation (FIFA) presidential elections.

CAF after it Executive Committee meeting early this week, decided to hold their cards to their chest ahead of the elections to elect a successor to Sepp Blatter.

This is to afford the continent controlling football body in Africa, adequate time to take a firm decision that will be in the interest of the continent.

It is also to afford CAF the opportunity to keenly observe the procedures before settling on any of the candidates that have filed for the presidency.

Four candidates Sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo Sexwale, have filed to contest for the presidency of FIFA.
