Kotoko will play CARA at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium
CARA Brazzaville defender Mimille Olfaga de Borniche Okiele believes they would be able to handle the atmosphere at Baba Yara Sports Stadium during their Caf Confederations Cup preliminary clash against Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
The 29-year-old, who previously played for French side AJ Auxerre, says any hostile reception from the home fans would be an extra motivation.
"There is no pressure and we are not undergoing any extraordinary preparations for this match. We believe it's a normal game just like any other and we are approaching it as we would have done against any other side", Okiele told Fox FM.
"We are not perturbed by their plans to fill the stadium to full capacity and probably make the ground hostile. We have a big stadium in Congo (Brazzaville) like Baba Yara so we can never be intimidated by the presence of the supporters and will use their plan to motivate ourselves," he said.
"All our key players who played part of our campaign last season are still with the club. Nobody has left and there hasn't been any addition too.
"We are prepared to come and play good football. Whether they can beat us by that [three goals] margin or beat us at all shall be decided on the pitch on Sunday" he added.
The second leg will take place on February 21 in Brazzaville.
