Ahead of the second leg clash of the CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso in Quagadougo, Black Stars B Head coach Maxwell Konadu has maintained his charges are more confident now than they were before the first leg.

Ghana lost the first leg by a lone goal and will be looking to get a good result in the second leg to qualify to the next year’s Championship in Cameroon.

Despite losing the first leg at home, Maxwell Konadu and his charges defeated Burkina Faso in the quarterfinals of the just ended WAFU Championship in Senegal.

Speaking exclusively to footballmadeinghana.com after the team final training in Burkina, the former Asante Kotoko coach insisted the Stallions are beatable and they will do everything to secure the victory at Quagadougo on Sunday.

“The team is more confident now than when we begun our preparation in Kumasi. We just wish for luck because the confidence in camp is high and very motivated to beat Burkina Faso.

“After beating Burkina Faso in the WAFU, I think they know they are beatable”.

Maxwell Konadu also insisted they will have to play above themselves in order to beat the Burkinabes at their own backyard.

“The Burkinabes may seem to have nothing to loose, but we have to play above ourselves and qualify against all odds.

“It looks difficult, but it can be possible. We plead with our fans all the time to have believe in us and pray for us.

“The last time we played at this venue, we had a draw and it was like a win for us.

“Coming here again, we are familiar with the venue, weather and the fans so it will aid us to perform well In the game”He added.
