CID involved in Gyan saga sacked

Corporal Richmond Ayayi, who is the Second Prosecuting witness in the issue of extortion involving Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and several others, has been fired.

Police sources say Ayayi was part of four others recently busted by the administration for attempting to extort funds from some Indian nationals.

Ayayi, who was sent from his Airport Police Station base to interrogate the matter, was hours later caught in a complex web of attempting to make money off the Indians, who were also suspected of engaging in an illegality.
