CK Akonnor rejects Kotoko’s Technical Director role

Charles Kwabla Akonnor, former Asante Kotoko head coach has declined the role of technical director at the club, Ghanacrusader can exclusively report.

The management of Kotoko told Akonnor that he has been promoted to a new role as Technical Director of the club as the Reds have appointed Norwegian tactician, Kjetil Zachariassen.

The former Black Stars captain, therefore, has submitted a letter to the club’s hierarchy by stating his unwillingness to take the new role of the club after his dismissal as head coach and have asked them to abrogate his contract.

Akonnor during his tenure at the club as head coach guided the club to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup and a Champions League qualification after clinching the NC Tier 1 Special Cup.
