There is growing pressure on the Ghana Football Association to fire coach Goran Stevanovic after Ghana's failure to reach the final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Serbian declared he would resign as Ghana boss if the side did not reach the final when he announced his squad for the competition in December and the calls for him to live up to his word or get the sack from the GFA is beginning to gather steam.
Nations Cup winners Mohammed Polo and Osei Kofi have been fierce in their criticism of the Serbian's reign so far and wasted no time in asking for a closure on his reign.
A member of the Black Stars management committee Gyan Appenteng also demanded that Stevanovic be dismissed claiming he had let down the nation badly.
The Ghana Football Association has officially however not said anything on the Serbian's future.
GFA president Kwesi Nyantekyie declared before the tournament that failure to win the trophy will not trigger an automatic sacking and this is no hint yet of where he stands at present.
Nyantejyie stuck by another Serbian Ratomir Dujkovic to good effect after Ghana dropped out of the group stage at the 2006 Nations Cup. They later reached the second round of the World Cup.
Two years later however, Ghana parted company with Claude Le Roy after Ghana fell at the semi-final stage of the Nations Cup on home soil.
There are those convinced Stevanovic must suffer the same fate but others adamant that retaining him would work greatly for Ghana's Nations Cup campaign next year and the 2014 World Cup qualifiers which begins in June.
