President of Techiman City, Charles Kwadwo Ntim, affectionately called Micky Charles has advised the leadership of the Ghana Football Association to cancel the halted 2019/20 league season in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the outspoken football administrator who now joins the likes of Alhaji Karim Grunsah and Great Olympics ace Gladson Awako for the cancellation of the league, the GFA should start making plans on how to synchronize the Ghanaian football league with that of Europe.
In an interview with Accra based Asempa FM, Micky Charles says continuing the suspended Ghana League is not appropriate as the Ghana League is already way behind, in terms of schedule.
“I have heard people saying that we should cancel the league and there are others also saying that we should be patient and I believe all those people have their reasons”, the Techiman City owner said.
“Those in the Premier League are playing 36 matches and they have now played 15, in Division One we are playing 30 matches and we have only played 13 games. It means that season has not gone that far. To synchronize our calendar with the European leagues, let’s cancel our league and properly plan for the next football season”. He told Asempa FM
