Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has outlined his strategy for incorporating Kylian Mbappe into the team for the upcoming season.
He clarified that Mbappe will primarily play as a center forward or on the wings, depending on what suits him and the team best.
Ancelotti cited the example of Vinicius Junior, a natural left winger who occasionally switched positions with Rodrygo last season to adapt to the team's style of play.
He assured that there would be no issues with Mbappe's position, addressing concerns that he might impede Vinicius' development by taking over the left wing.
In an interview with Nigerian footballer Mikel Obi, Ancelotti addressed these worries, stating, "I envision him [Mbappe] playing upfront. The attack is expansive. The field spans 68 meters, and we need our forwards to cover this distance effectively. Vinicius can do this, as last season he predominantly played as a left winger. I believe that player mobility is key to offensive success."
Ancelotti emphasized the importance of players being adaptable and creative on the field, highlighting how players like Bellingham and Rodrygo have demonstrated versatility in their positions.
He stressed that players should be able to move between different roles to maximize their impact during matches.
These comments come after Mbappe signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
