Central Region Division Two League to start on August 16

Cape Coast, Aug. 7, GNA - The second round of the Central Regional Division Two League will commence on Sunday, August 16, instead of August 9, as earlier scheduled. The postponement is to enable Clubs indebted to the Central Regional Football Association to settle their debts. The Regional Chairman of the Association, Mr Mathew Doe who announced this at an emergency meeting attended by Club officials at Cape Coast on Thursday, said the Association was indebted to the tune of GH¢22,000.

The postponement is to enable Clubs indebted to the Central Regional Football Association to settle their debts. The Regional Chairman of the Association, Mr Mathew Doe who announced this at an emergency meeting attended by Club officials at Cape Coast on Thursday, said the Association was indebted to the tune of GH¢22,000. He warned that any Club which fails to pay its debt by Friday, August 13 will be prevented from taking part in the League. 61 Clubs including Cape Coast Venomous Vipers and Agona Fankobaa are expected to participate in the League. Vipers are leading Zone One with 22 points.
