Champion Dishes, one of the leading Ghanaian Restaurants have been appointed the official meal provider for the teams and officials who are participating at the Baby Jet Promotions Invitational Football Tournament at the Accra Academy Park from August 27, 2018 to September 3, 2018.
Emmanuel Quaye, General Manager of Champion Dishes said he was happy to be associated with the tournament as it aims at unearthing talents for the nation.
He said nutritious food is very important in the development of a top class sportsman that is why they want to support the organisers and the young kids.
He noted that the international stature of the event has made him appreciate the organisers and hoped that they will make it happen often as promised. Samuel Anim Addo, CEO of Baby Jet Promotions said many youth teams want to take part in the event, but it is invitational, however they hope to organise it annually and give other players, clubs and countries the opportunity of showcasing their skills and talent. Meanwhile, Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has called on corporate bodies to support his initiative to unearth talents through the Baby Jet promotions U-16 tournament.
Gyan's promotional outfit announced the Under-16 tournament for football academies in Africa and the best players would be offered fantastic packages including training with top European clubs.
The invitational tournament features clubs from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo and Nigeria who are playing at the Accra Academy Astro-Turf.
The 33 year old national team skipper took to twitter to confirm the tournament and asked corporate bodies to be a part of the worthy course.
“I invite corporate Ghana to come support this initiative to start the agenda to help bring back grassroots football to the level it deserves. Come 27th August to 3rd September at te Asamoah Gyan Sports Centre, Accra Academy”
The 16 teams include Nigerian sides ATFA FC (Lagos) and Campos Football Academy (Owerri).
Togolese side Pison Divine Royals Int. Foundation Academy and Academy Ro Mario will be joined by Ivorian duo All-Stars FC and Zenox FC.
The local teams will feature Great Somas, Cheetah FC, Bolga Soccer Masters, Star Madrid FC, Cedar Stars Academy and Charity Stars.
