TP Mazembe Ghanaian forward Gladson Awako has still not gotten over their exit from the CAF Champions League semifinal last week adding that he still feels like it was just a bad dream.
Mazembe failed to make it to this year’s finals as they were ousted in the semifinal by Entente Setif on the away goals rule.
In a game which four Ghanaians started including Awako, there were high hopes of a good win, a win they had, but that was not enough to move to the next stage of the competition which happened to be the final.
“It’s still like a dream to me because we really prepared and were looking forward to playing in the final match together with my colleagues," Awako told sportscrusader.com.
“It’s sad for us because we now have to wait till next year before we can participate and start from the scratch again.”
“But in all things we have to thank God because he knows best. Who knows, maybe we will have been injured seriously had we gone into the final or maybe lost the final itself and that will have been a much bitter pill to swallow.”
