Celebrated Ghanaian footballer, Charles Asampong Taylor has blasted local players for not exhibiting seriousness in their game.
During a discussion on GTV Sports plus over the weekend, the former Black Stars forward said that it is the bad attitude of players in the local leagues that have forced the public to lose interest in the league.
“Players of today are serious not as compared to our time. This is the reason why interest in the game is on the decline”, Charles Taylor said.
While blasting players for not being serious, he advised them to learn from the attitude of retired players and show the desire and hunger to succeed.
In his prime, the ex-Hearts of Oak baller was unplayable and at a point formed a partnership with Bernard Don Bortey who was equally as good.
Taylor helped the Phobians to win the treble back in the 2000s where they lifted the CAF Champions League, the Ghana Premier League, and the FA Cup.
