Former Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko Striker Charles Bismark Kweku Asampong Taylor says he is currently back in his hometown Sefwi in search of upcoming talent for his Football Academy in Accra called Vision Explore and he was accompanied by his best friend Dan Quaye.
Taylor who hails from Sefwi made it clear to Beat FM that he has an academy in Accra and is currently in the town to scout for upcoming talent.
He also made it clear in an interviewed with Dj Emparo on his Sunday special show that, he will like to set up another Academy in sefwi since that’s where he was born.
The Striker who was part of the best squad ever to be assembled by Accra Hearts of Oak and also famously called the “ 64 battalion” a name after the most feared unit of the Ghana Army during “Jerry Rawlings” rule.
The former Black Stars player also went on to say that leaders in Sefwi should put more effort in supporting talent inside the town and should help build sporting facilities inside the town in order to promote it, he said doing this will help put the town high on the map of Ghana.
Charles Taylor made one of the most controversial tranfers of all time in Ghana when he moved from Accra hearts of Oak to join their arch rivals Asante Kotoko for a then domestic fee $42,000, with him boycotting training at his club and not playing games way into the season just to force the move.
Although his first season was a success after he won the Ghana premier league with Kotoko, he joined Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia in 2004. Taylor represent his country 16 times scoring 2 goals in the process.
