Suspected assailants were spotted at the residence of former Hearts Of Oak and Asante Kotoko winger, Charles Taylor, a neighbour told ‘Wamputu Sports’ on Happy FM.
Some comments made by the former Ghana international about how he was not treated well by Hearts Of Oak in an interview with Delay had ruffled feathers among some Hearts fans.
The player revealed on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo’ sports that he has been receiving death threats from Hearts fans since his interview with Delay.
“The man threatened to kill me if I come to the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday so I reported the case at Teshie Police Station,” he told Ohene Brenya.
In a latest development, a neighbour of the player who wants to remain anonymous, in an interview with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy FM’s ‘Wamputu Sports’ narrated that some people in a Taxi were in the neighbourhood and he saw one pointing towards the direction of Charles Taylor’s house.
“Yesterday between the hours of 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm, I saw some persons in a Taxi packed at our main junction. One of them started pointing to the house of Charles Taylor,” he said.
He further revealed that two persons in an old Toyota with registration number GR 3034-U were in the neighbourhood enquiring from him where Charles Taylor lived.
“Just today too, two persons in an old Toyota with registration number GT 3034-U were enquiring from me to direct them to Charles Taylor’s house,” he further revealed.
An inconsolable Charles Taylor on his part said he had reported to the police about the threats on his life and dared anyone to come and kill him.
He expressed disappointments amidst wailing inconsolably on live radio about the treatments being made to him by some Heart fans.
“I am not scared of anyone and I have reported the matter to the police. I dare anyone who wants to kill me to come. I am waiting. After all that I have done for Hearts Of Oak and my country, this is how some people try to pay me back. I have done nothing wrong” He said.
