Chelsea are closing on the signing of Juventus and Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, fresh reports have emerged on Tuesday.
The Blues are confident of landing their number target ahead of the new season with widespread reports suggesting the Italian champions are prepared to sell the left-sided player.
Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who worked with Asamoah during his time at Juventus, is a key admirer of the hugely talented Ghana international.
And the Italian believes the 27-year-old’s versatility could be a huge benefit to Chelsea next season.
The Ghana international was a fringe player at the Juventus stadium last season due to injuries and made only 13 appearances in all competitions.
Asamoah, who is also being tracked by AS Roma has won four Serie A titles during his time in Turin.
