Chibsah, the Ghanaian Godfather in Sweden

Ex-international Yusif Chibsah has created a Whatsapp group for Ghanaian players in Sweden to help mentor and get them on the right career paths.

Chibsah moved to the Scandinavian country in 2007 and has become a Godfather for many Ghanaian players who have joined Allsvenskan sides or in the lower division.

The former Asante Kotoko captain has been influential in the development of Black Stars duo Abdul Majeed Waris and Daniel Amartey.

After being named the 2015 Swedish Premier League Best Midfielder, Ebenezer Ofori acknowledged the positive effect of having Chibsah as a Guardian Angel.

“I will like to say thanks to Chibsah (Yusif) because he created a Group on Whatsapp for Ghanaian players in Sweden so we use to share ideas and he would advice us. It was very wonderful of him,” the AIK Stockholm star told GHANASoccernet.com.
