Chiefs donates sport kits

Coaltar (E/R) May 20 GNA - Nana Abiese Kumi II Chief of Abiesi, near Coaltar, on Thursday presented sports kits worth four million cedis to Abisco Stars, the local football team.

The items included footballs, jerseys, boots, hoses, a pump and a first aid box. Speaking to the GNA at the function, Nana Kumi said the kits were his personal contribution towards the upkeep of the team and expressed the hope that they would encourage the team to work hard to qualify for the National Division One Soccer League.

Skipper Kwame Antwi, who received the items on behalf of the team, thanked Nana Abiesi for the kits and appealed to other philanthropists for assistance.
