Registration for the second edition of the Chocho Annual Inter faith Games has reached roof top as the date (July 1) for the big kick-off draws nigh.
Communications Director of Chocho Industries Limited Kojo Sahara has revealed that the stage is set for the Games scheduled for the Mensah Sabah Park, Legon.
He pointed out in an interview that “Registration has been impressive so far, many religious bodies have signed up for the competition.
“I believe the ultimate prize at stake, the brand new Opel salon car has contributed to the growing interest among the various groups.”
This year’s edition is expected to be an improvement of the maiden edition with the introduction of an exhibition fair of made in Ghana products by manufacturers.
Also expected to add a bite to July 1 event is musical performance by gospel diva Ohemaa Mercy, hip life star Tee Flow, Saed Akomeni, Arahman Voices among others.
Chocho Industries CEO Alhaji Mustapha Oti Boateng also said “Everything is set for the competition, we have invested so much into this event. In the maiden edition, the focus was on the need for peaceful co-existence due to the Supreme Court ruling on the general elections.
“This year’s is on the need to patronize made in Ghana goods. We need to encourage our own, it is by doing that, that will move us forward as a nation.
“I am not doing this because I was adjudged the best entrepreneur for 2014, but I believe in the promotion of made in Ghana goods,” he added.
About 20 religious groups from different denominations will battle for supremacy in the July 1 event.
At stake is a brand car, a giant trophy and Chocho products.
