Choco Industries to stage Peace Games

Accra, June 26,– Chocho Industries Ghana Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of the herbal products in Ghana, will on Monday, July 1, organize Fun Games dubbed “Chocho Inter Faith Peace Games” at the Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp Accra.

The event, which is aimed at promoting peace in the country, will have 12 religious bodies battling for honours with the ultimate winner taking home a brand new MazdaDemio Salon Car and a trophy.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, Mustapha Oti Boateng, Chief Executive of Chocho Industries Ghana Limited said, his outfit is prepared to host the large of number participants that will throng the stadium on Monday to witness the event.

“The stage is set for the games and we have done everything by way of organization to ensure the success of the event. We believe our dream of using it to unify the nation will be realized.

“The relative peace we enjoy as a people faces its biggest challenge with the ongoing election 2012 court petition. The core foundation of our industry is protecting and preserving cherished values and treasures, hence the attempt to foster peace in Ghana.” He stated.

According to fixtures, New Fadama Mosque will take on Suhum Ahmadiyya Moslem Mission in the first game, with Adentan Pentecost and Christ for All Church of Taborah Alhaji playing the second game.

Royal House Chapel, will battle the Rastafarian Movement, Accra with SDA, Nungua playing the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Accra.

The Ghana Police Church, Accra will sort things out with Presbyterian Church, Kasoa, whilst Hari Krishna will face the Traditionalists, Accra.

The women will also engage in a tug-of-peace competition and winners would be rewarded accordingly with attractive prizes and Chocho products.
