Christian Atsu saddened by death of Ivorian midfielder Cheick Tiote

Ghana winger Christian Atsu is saddened by the death of Ivorian international Cheick Tiote.

Tiote passed away after collapsing at training on Monday.

The sad news has since gotten several footballers devastated following the player’s contribution for Club and country.

“I'm devastated and saddened by the death of my bro Cheick Tiote . May Allah grant you Jannah,” Atsu tweeted.

Atsu currently plays for Newcastle United, a Club Tiote played for three seasons before leaving for China.

Tiote’s death is believed to have been as a result of Heart failure (Cardiac arrest).
